Ipreo marketing campaign wins international award

Ipreo’s latest awareness campaign for the private capital markets has won a marketing award from the Summit International Awards (SIA) organization.
 
The “Risky Business” campaign used a data-rich, interactive format to communicate the risks of poor data-management practices among private capital firms. By curating existing news and research, and compiling the findings in a visually engaging infographic, Ipreo’s Private Capital Markets (PCM) division was able to effectively communicate the extent of the issue. Nearly three out of four private capital firms use spreadsheets to collect and analyze portfolio company data, but close to 90 percent of spreadsheets contain errors due to human error, material defects or defective formulas.   
 
The infographic launched on September 9, 2015, generating an immediate response and reaching more than 1,000 viewers with information about the issue and best practices on how to minimize the risks. From a marketing perspective, the campaign was successful in creating more awareness for iLEVEL, a data collection and analytics platform that integrates with Excel and helps to reduce spreadsheet-related errors. iLEVEL web traffic, lead generation, and other engagement metrics increased significantly as a result of the campaign.
 
The campaign won the Summit Emerging Media Innovator Award in January 2016. The Summit EMA recognizes and celebrates creativity, innovation and those pushing the bounds of creative excellence in all forms of emerging media. The Innovator Award recognizes the effective use of new methodologies and techniques in marketing. The Ipreo infographic campaign was one of a handful selected from among 1,300 entries submitted worldwide.
 
The campaign was also named as a finalist for the upcoming Killer Content Awards: the winner will be announced in February 2016.

Ipreo PCM collaborated with DemandLab, a full-service marketing automation agency, to create the interactive infographic.
